Administration handled
From an employment relationship
Sportverloning handles the administration for contractors, but is not involved in the terms the contractor agrees with you as the client. The registrant does, however, appear on Sportverloning's payroll under the construct of deemed employment, where the due (payroll) taxes and Zvw contributions are withheld at source.

How it works
The employment relationship & the minimum rate

Technical explanation
Deemed employment
The contractor chooses to perform work outside employment (i.e., not as an employee) for one or more clients, and to enter into a deemed employment relationship with Sportverloning and have the invoicing of the fees run via Sportverloning.
Technical: Decree of 24 December 1986 establishing a general administrative order as referred to in Article 5 of the Disablement Insurance Act, Article 5 of the Sickness Benefits Act and Article 5 of the Unemployment Insurance Act (Stb. 1986, 655), as last amended on 14 June 2017 (Stb. 2017, 270)

The hourly rate
False self‑employment and the minimum rate
When you work with contractors, you agree an all‑in rate on an hourly, commission or project basis. We consider a minimum rate of € 21,60 per hour essential for working as a self‑employed professional. There must be room to work at one's own account and risk, and the contractor must be able to insure against certain risks.
It is important for all parties to prevent false self‑employment and underpayment; you help with this by recommending us. You cannot require a worker to work via us.
What about...
Working as a young contractor
We occasionally receive the comment that, in an employment relationship, the minimum wage is lower for people between the ages of 18 and 21, and people ask why that isn't also the case for contractors.
When you work as a contractor, you work at your own account and risk and take control of your income. That requires a minimum rate. You hire someone for their capabilities, which are not age‑dependent.
